Services
Seller Representation. We offer a targeted marketing program custom designed for each property’s unique appeal and highest and best use. With deep roots in the Southern California horse community, we also have the established relationships necessary to create a credible word-of-mouth campaign.
Buyer Representation. We represent some of the best available properties. We are thorough, detail oriented and dedicated to uncovering every opportunity. In addition, we are often aware of properties not yet actively on the market. Approximately 25% of the larger equestrian properties are purchased before being actively marketed.
Value-Added Services. We utilize our creativity and experience to strategically evaluate every opportunity. We will act as an owner’s representative with discretionary permits, parcel maps, boundary adjustments or change of use feasibility.
Whether representing world class dressage or show jumping competitors, thoroughbred owners, individuals devoted to a breed, or trail riders, we absolutely love what we do. We feel fortunate, having taken both horses and real estate to unusual depth, that our experience comes together to truly help people who love horses.
Caren Brown Kelley has a background as a professional rider and trainer. She began riding competitively in San Diego County at age eleven. Her career highlights included riding for Sandy Aston with success in the professional hunter and jumper divisions and Grand Prix’s. When Caren made the difficult decision to transition from a professional riding career, she applied the same work ethic and dedication to excellence in the world of commercial real estate brokerage. She negotiated on behalf of pension funds, institutions and individual investors, completed transactions valued in excess of $500 million, and was honored by the San Diego County Commercial Association of Realtors as Deal Maker of the Year in 1999.
Caren resides in Del Mar with her husband, Craig Kelley, a private money manager (www.kelleyinvestments.com) and their children, Devon (16) and Caden (12).
Maggie O'Connor brings experience caring for her own horse through Michigan winters and teaching horsemanship to young girls at summer camp, as well as an impeccable residential real estate resume to the team. Maggie attended the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University and went on to graduate cum laude with a major in business management and a minor in finance. During seven years in sales and marketing for the Pulte Homes Corporation, she was responsible for grand opening master planned communities from ground breaking to completion and she helped over five hundred homeowners build and purchase their dream homes. Maggie and her native born Australian husband, Daniel O’Connor, relocated from North Carolina to San Diego in 2009 and fell in love with all the area has to offer.
Caren and Maggie are delighted to be combining their lifelong passion for horses and their extensive real estate experience in a company dedicated to serving the equestrian community.
